We’re in – Directors thank contractors for completing an ambitious 16 week deadline as we are now installed in our new “state-of-the-art” office
We’ve arrived. After lots of hard work packing up boxes and the logistical challenges that comes with any move we are now installed in our fabulous new offices with even the wintery weather failing to dampen our enthusiasm.
You can only imagine how much clutter you accumulate over a four-year period as we moved into our previous Hallow-based unit in May 2009. To me it seems like only yesterday when we transferred ourselves from the smaller adjacent office to relocate into a great sprawling space which at the time we thought we would never fill.
Just like one big happy family we are so excited as we settle down to work from our new “state-of-the-art” Diglis location. The exterior structure is modern and imposing and the interior is absolutely fabulous – very minimalist, stylish, colourful and ergonomically designed to be functional, practical and comfortable.
We thought our first day in our new working environment would present an ideal opportunity of saying a big ‘thank you’ to the army of building contractors, interior designers and those providing other support services that have helped us turn our dream into a reality. They have all worked tirelessly to complete a near impossible deadline of a mere 16 weeks.
Our new premises are located in Taylor Wimpey’s £75 million ‘flagship’ development in Waterside, Diglis and the various companies involved in the project’s completion turned it around in record time as the building was just a mere shell four-months ago.
Amongst the main specialists that have worked exceptionally hard to ensure that the work was completed on time and on budget, was Birmingham-based project managers, Fusion Building Consultancy and Stratford-upon-Avon based, Squaredot, who provided the very innovative interiors designs.
David Kramer from Squaredot said: “The project has not been without its challenges as it involved converting three separate units into one which makes the provision of essential services such as water and power complex elements to manage.
“However the camaraderie between everyone involved has been fantastic and we have worked together as one cohesive and focused team sharing the same objectives which was to get the job done to a high specification in a very short lead-time.”
Quantum Construction provided the main contractual element of the building work with support from a wide range of subcontractors including Redditch-based M Fitzgerald Brickworks.
Postcode Anywhere’s managing director Guy Mucklow explains that the project was an ambitious and complex one and all involved should be applauded for their patience, understanding and professionalism.
He said: “The last few weeks of any major refurbishment project can be highly pressurised work environments with different elements needing to work closely together to get the job done on time.
“Our refurbishment was more complex than most because of the extensive cabling required to support our IT functions. We have used over 10 km on cable in the office and have had to work closely with other major suppliers like BT to ensure that we have the required bandwidth and resilience to support our operations. We are very grateful to our team of contractors and service providers who have all worked exceptionally hard to deliver a workplace that all of us at Postcode Anywhere can be extremely proud of.”
We thought now would be a good time to remind our suppliers, customers and other stakeholders of our new address and contact details which are:
